breast leak

what cause my breast to leak a yellowish color liquid for 3 days ? I don't have no pain and I' m 47 years old.

Doyishealed,
    The fact that your breast is leaking a yellowish colored liquid is of concern. Under no circumstance should you breast leak fluid unless you have recently given birth and are actively breast feeding, and further more it should not be of a yellow color. I would advise making a appointment to see your doctor as soon as possible, or go to a walk-in clinic.
    Have you performed a breast cancer self-examination? Now don't jump to any conclusions by that question because this can be any number of issues but its deffinately something you should do since you have breast leakage. Also you should do a self-exam atleast once a month and look for any lumps, indentations, or leakage.

Hi,
Breast discharge may be completely physiological and go away on its own after few days. One should just avoid touching the nipple to check the discharge.
Other causes include mammary duct ectasia. In this condition one of the ducts beneath the nipple becomes inflamed and clogged.
Other cause can be an intraduct papilloma which is a benign growth and causes a sticky discharge.
Galactorrhea causes a yellowish discharge from both the nipples. It causes because of excessive prolactin production or hormonal imbalance due to birth control pills, olr an underactive thyroid.
Fibrocystic changes and breast abcess can also cause a discharge.
Nipple discharge very rarely is a sign of breast cancer.
I would advise you to wait for a couple of days if the discharge does not stop then please get this checked. Take care!

In 1997 I had drainage from lft breast, ignored it due to my daughter was only 2, thought was left over milk. While on vacation went to take swim suit off & fluid w/ blood tinge to it, was dx w/ dcis ductal carcinoma insitu I had bilateral masectomy/saline implants. It was a blessing in disguise to have had the drainage, I would go to dr. asap. In my prayers
