Usually chemotherapy and radiotherapy is given to patients with advanced cancer and to prevent cancer relapse.
There is an option of biological therapy known as Immunotherapy also, which stimulates body’s own defence system to fight cancer cells.
Currently patients receive this treatment by participating in research studies.
