I can not asnwer for others nor can I say for sure that my symptoms were caused by MSK since I have now also been diagnoised with IC.  As a child I had many "stomach aches" that they could not find a cause for as well as sharp right side pain and actual uti's.  I was very young like 3 when I remember my first uti.  That is most likely from the MSK.

Hi ... YES, 16yrs old ...............but didn't stay long enough to have it addressed; yet I remember that pain vividly and again at age 28 or so with my first UTI that was negative!

I also had crystals show up when prego with Baby #3 but bcz it was the GI I was brushed off when I should have seen a Uro.  they were looking at gallstones at the time when I think it was kidney beginning to form stonres!

I was diagnosed at age 15, and my parents finally realized that all my "fussing and crying" was for a real pain. My mom finally asked if that was why I always had small stones in my diapers when I was a baby. Still, they always told me to grin and bear it, even if I was passing a 3mm or larger stone.
One summer, while I was on vacation with my family, I decided to call my mom to see if everything was ok. She didn't answer, so I called her neighbor, who told me that mom had called 911 because of being in horrible pain. She wound up with my urologist - who knew how much pain her snide remarks had caused me over the years. He told her that she hadd a stone about the size of a grain of sand, and she called 911. He then showed her my typical size stone, 3mm, and told her he never wanted to hear her making fun of my pain again. She never did.
Thank God that I have a wonderful husband who understands that I do hurt, and can even diagnose about where the stone is and if he thinks I can pass it. He's been by my side for all the surgerys, all the hospitalizations for infections, all the tears and pain. I feel so blessed to have him in my life for going on 34 years.
God is also good - my youngest daughter had developed a "here we go again, is Mom just doing this to get attention?" attitude. Until she passed a 1mm. Life became good.
By the way, if you have MSK, you've had them all your life.

Yes, MSK is congenital from birth.

My largest was only 4.0mm but my most painful was probably about 1-2mm cause it got stuck like a fishook and caused pain for 10 days!

It appears that you have a good support system and that is crucial!  My husband tries and at times is wonderful and other times he is not!  He once told me he doesn't know if he has ever had a stone because he would just handle it.....,

I have had pain issus all my life,,, my mom and my sister now both my advocates,  They too have made comments like I wonder if this is why you were sick or in pain soo much younger.

My youngest son told me the other day he wishes he could lay around!  I don't I work then lay down then get up and work again!  Monday he got shot in the eye playing airsoft with his brother without permission.  The doctor said he must lay or sit still till Friday, because if that blood clot breaks lose it could cause him to go blind! He is not enjoying it!
