Erection Problems after Circumsicion

My husband had to have a circumsicion done about 2 years ago due to him having pain when getting an erection due to the foreskin on his penis splitting and bleeding whenever he got an erection. Anyway, he got the circumscion done and everything healed well, but he has not been able to get an erection ever since. Prior to the circumsicion, he has had some high blood pressure problems and also recently some slightly high cholestorel (possibly due to heredity, since we eat pretty healthy), but he is taking medication to keep them under control. He also has the thallasemia type of sickle cell anemia. My question is this: Could my husband's erection problems have been caused by the circumscion? He never had a problem getting an erection prior to the surgery. After surgery, he has tried taking Cialis, but it did not work and the doctors won't prescribe Viagra for him due to his thallasemia.
