Coronary stents and kidney stones

by diamondgator, Jul 13, 2008 09:06PM
My 48 year old husband had two coronary stents put in at the begining of April.  Two days after getting out of the hospital he was told he has a 14mm kidney stone.  After two months of his urologist doing nothing but perscribing pain meds we changed doctors.  The new physician inserted a stent between his bladder and kidney.  Lithtotripsy was not an option because the cardiologist said my husband could not come off the plavix.  The stent in his urinary system is very uncomfortable along with passing blood and sometimes even clots.  The urologist has mentioned the possibillity of a lazar procedure but he is still asking that my husband get off the plavix for a week prior to the surgery.  We are looking for any ideas to get rid of this kidney stone.
