Lens Implant Question

by Bob281, Jul 14, 2008 06:46AM
I had cataract surgery on July 11, three days ago. I am a 60 year old diabetic male. On July 12, the surgeon removed the bandages and examined by eye. My vision was tremendously improved but it seemed like I could see the left edge of the implanted lens within my range of vision. In addition, when I look at a light source, I see lines of faint light across my field of view.

The lens installed is the AcrySof model MA50BM.

Am I experiencing typical post operative conditions that should clear up or could the lens be mispositioned?

Discuss this with your surgeon. Use the search feature and also Google and search "dysphotopsia".
