Femoral Damage ( Stab Wound)

In September of 2006 I received a stab wound to the right, mid thigh,
Femoral Area.Since then I have experenced some atrophy of musscle
in the area, above and below the wound site ( wound as about 3cm wide
and about 4.5 inches deep.0 Since that time I have a numbness and
tightness mid-knee(frount of knee) to about 10 inches below it.
...also somemoderately sever pain in the upper outside of the calf.
How seriously should I consider these symptoms ( I can stand a lot
of pain, and still function, tend to ignor it, but i do nothave the strength
I had befor the damage.
Advice...anyone?
