PILLS FOR ARTHRITIS

I have been taking OSTEO BI-FLEX TRIPPLE STRENGTH for 6 months now and I am afraid to stop taking it.
Some days I have pain in my Knees and Hands and Neck so I do not know if it is helping. On days I have no pain I think it is helping and on other days I do not think so. When the pain gets real bad I take 4 ADVIL GEL TABS and it helps a little.
Any help will be appreciated

Actually that is what I do. I go in the pool 3X a week and stay at home the rest of the time. I am 73 years old and have had both knee's replaced. One knee still gives me pain and the dr says it's probably nerve damage and nothing can be done.
I take 800 ADVIL when the pain gets really bad and when it is unbearable I go on PREDNISONE for 7 days. I do not do the prednisone more than 2X a year.
