Ortho Try Cyclen, missed period?

by lawlzz, Jul 14, 2008 05:08PM
Hello !

I've started my first month on birth control. It's Ortho Tri Cylcen. And Sunday I was supposed to start my period. (In other words, I'm on my green pill right now this week.)

But It's Monday afternoon, and I still haven't started my period.

Saturday night I did have unprotected sex, for a matter of two minutes. (Stuck it in, a few thrusts, and I was like, no way!) He wasn't fully hard either.

Now I'm just wondering if skipping a period for the first month or whatever is common? I'm not entirely sure if it's skipped since it is Monday, but I'm just curious. (Also note that my periods before I started were VERY short, three days usually but a very heavy flow. I almost use super tampons the whole way through.) Or should I be worrying about pregnancy? My doctor didn't say much about this except, "Oh, well, once you hit your green pills, you start your period!" So, I'm confused.

I'd be glad to supply more information if needed!

Thanks!

starting bc will mess up your periods and stuff but dont trust bc fully by having unprotected sex. i would say its from your bc. but remeber you can get pregnant with just a guy pulling out. precum does contain sperm. bc is not 100% effective, and if you think your pregnant take a test

Yes, I understand you can pregnant with the pull out method. (Which I thought I'd give it a try, and right when it happened, I made him pull out due to me not being comfortable with the fact I had no condom on.)

I'm just kind of slapping myself in the head for not waiting until my cycle gets used to my BC to have any sort of sex, so I don't have to deal with this type of scare.

Will do! If anyone else has anymore advice, please!
