If this issue started after finding out about sleep apnea and it's only been a couple of days, it appears as if it's related to you're anxiety rather than actual sleep apnea, since you would have several awakenings without actually knowing about them.
I can;t make a diagnosis in this forum, but I think you just need to do a little more research on sleep apnea and it's true symptoms and causes and hopefully that will alleviate your fears.
Your other option is to get tested for sleep apnea, which is usually conducted in a sleep lab and will require an overnight stay and possibly additional tests.
Whatever you decide, I don't think it's anything you have to be overly concerned with.
