Unexplained Chest Pain

by MrsGatti, Jul 14, 2008 09:56PM
I have had a PDA implant now for about 2 years.  Im 31 and have had chest pains since the 5th grade.  After the procedure my chest pain did not go away.  Everytime I have these 'chest pains" they feel as if I am having a heart attack.  The pain goes from the region of my heart and moves to my left arm and down to my elbow.  I can barely breath when this is happening.  This usually last anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.   There is nothing medically wrong with me that the doctors can find.  Is there any explanation to this?

Hi,

Unexplained chest pain can be due to acid reflux and gas formation also. Acid reflux can cause a severe chest pain.
I would advise you take an OTC antacids, eat a light bland diet with plenty of water for a few days and see if it makes any difference in your pain. Please keep me posted.
