Alkaline versus acid

by Babs39, Jul 15, 2008 04:36PM
Is there anything valid at all about testing yourself for alkaline or acid by using the test strips for saliva?
There are so many websites on the subject.  Many of them are trying to sell something.  But if we are too acid or too alkaline, does it cause physical problems?

This discussion is related to Do acid / alkaline foods really change the PH of your body?.

I would definately use PH strips to test the PH of the body but best taken from the urine. Also, diseases can usually only live in an acidic body. So there are many cures to diseases as to alkaline the body, or more over "prevent" diseases from arrising. Very important, in my opinion, yes! Acid and alkaline control the PH of the body completely which is why we are meant to eat lots of vegetables as almost all alkaline foods are vegetables, vegetable greens are a great example as that is often, not always, why they sell.
