extremely tired

by MEL72764, Jul 16, 2008 01:07PM
I am about 17 weeks pregnant and am a single mom of two already.  I am extremely exhausted all of the time.  I work eight hour days and when I get home to the kids all I want to do is sleep.  I think my 10 year old daughter is getting depressed and my 4 year old is bored and I feel neglectful.  What can I do? I feel so guilty!!

Where are the children's fathers?  Is it the same man for all 3?  Can't help out during the week more?

What about extended family/friends?

Their father and I are divorced and he is not around. My family thinks I should just drink coffee and stay awake.

What about your mother? Does even she just tell you to drink coffee? That would NOT be good for the baby inside you. You need your sleep.Do you have any teenagers in your neighborhood you could hire to help you? Do you belong to any church? you could ask your priest/pastor/bishop/etc for some help. Christian ladies are usually very happy to serve people, I know in my church they are.

Unfortunately, you may be tired the whole pregnancy, especially since you have to work 8 hour days. I know how that is.
I am feeling so bad for you sweetheart. It sounds very rough.

You should not drink coffee...not good for the baby.

So the baby you are pregnant with has the same father as the other 2 children?

What about your family....can they come help out a few nights during the week....or hire a babysitter for a few hrs in the evening.

I really feel for you.  I only had 1 child (2 yr old) when I was pregnant with my son and I could barely stay awake the 2 hrs it took my hubby to get home.

Can you take naps at work.  Maybe in a break room or even your car.
