Small Black Bump On Lip Of Vagina

Okay so i found this bump a few days ago and it was more of a red-like sore color.. now it's like a dark purple-black.. it's very small.. maybe the size of a pea.. and it doesn't hurt.. i just want to know what it is and if i should tell my mom or go to the doctor.. i'm only 16 (17 in 18 days) and I AM NOT sexually active.
like i said the bump is very small and on the outside lip of my vajayjay :]
