Do you plan on having baby showers??  I am just having 1 big shower.  I had a boy last time and this time it is a girl so I need some pink stuff.  Just wandering if you were gonna have another shower.

Hi,

Yes, i am having a shower.  I wasnt sure if i was going to or not but my sisters have already started planning it.

there will be almost 9 yrs age difference between my two when Sarah is born.  I kept absolutly NOTHING from my son.  I gave it all away.

I am not having another shower unless they suprise me with one but I don't think so.  My best friend and I talked about it and since I'm having another girl and we already have absolutely everything (I'm a pack rat and don't get rid of anything), we decided to have something where my main ladies (mom, erin, chrissy, brit, and me) just spend a day doing girl stuff.  We are going to ditch the kids and the husbands and treat ourselves to a day away.  Since we all have faimilies and don't really have a lot of spare cash, we are just going to go to Erin's and watch movies, do manicures, pedis, makeovers, etc for each other... You know the stuff you see in the movies that girls do at slumber parties.  I know we're a little old for slumber parties but hey, no husbands, no kids, some pampering, actually getting to leave (not in bed =D)... how can we go wrong???  I'm not really a girlie girl but we did this for Erin when she had her second boy and it turned out to be a lot of fun.  As for do I think it's okay to have a shower for your second child, well of course it's a great idea.  The stuff you got at your first shower was for your first kid, this will be stuff for this child, I don't see anything wrong with that.  I've had several people stop by and drop off gifts for the baby already.  Go for it, have fun and have that party for your baby!!!

THis is my 3rd, but first girl.  No showers here.  I understand it for the first but not others if they are close in age. Mine will be 4 this month and the other is 14 months.  Friends and family usually just bring over a gift after the baby is born.  And we have a big baptism party anyways at around 2-3 months old.
