Worrisome lab results

by Mattea, Jul 16, 2008 04:36PM
I am a 43 year old female who has never been pregnant.  I've had irregular menstral bleeding and pelvic pain.  A recent sonogram reveals: a "highly suspicious vascular pedicle extending from the adjacent myometrium into the msal endometial mass" in addition to a slighty prominent leiomyomatous uterus, and one resolving cyst on the left, an "ireggular contoured hypoechoic complicated cyst 19 x 15 x 16 mm" on the right.  There is also a "homogenously hypechoic well-defined mass" on the right, containing echogenic material suggestive of blot clot such as a hemorrhagic cyst or endometraioma.  Also, free fluid in the lower pelvis.
I am seeing a specialist on Tuesday and will receive information in plain English, but I am a bit stressed at the moment.  If anyone can provide any helpful info, it would be appreciated

Run do not walk to a gynecological oncologist.. not because I think you have cancer but they are better trained to handle these type of problems.  You should be seen quickly.. good luck..

Waiting is the most stressful part sometimes isn't it??  I agree you need to see a Gyn/Onc even if your Dr. doesn't think you need one.  You have a whole lot going on there and I'm no Dr by any means.  Good luck,I'll keep you in prayer~~~Joanne
