your dr. also needs to let you know that this test has an extremely high rate of false positives.  i did test the same with a risk of 1:39 for downs in my last term pregnancy.  i was referred to genetic counselor who did a level II ultrasound, no markers, then recommended i come back for an amnio.  i declined amnio but went back for another level II ultrasound on which no markers were shown.  so i waited for my baby's birth to find out she was completely healthy!  see what is on the ultrasound and then decide how to proceed.

so many women have false positives.  these tests also only give you a percentage of possibility, they are not accurate.  try not to freak out.  what for the next testing and listen to the genetic doctor.

Thank you guys , most of the blog online been ssying the same thing about the test. but it is very hard not to freak it was like slap on my face when I heard the nurse . I am going to go to the Dr on Monday and if they want to do ultrasound that is fine but another thing like amnio that is not going to happen. I will live it to God, I am not going to harm my baby.
and thanks again guys you put in some peace of mind.
