As you know a syndrome is a sum of symptoms that is associated to a specific disease. The type I usually occurs in childhood, and hypoparathyroidism is the most frequent manifestation, followed by adrenal cortical failure. Chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis is also commonly present, and diabetes mellitus seldom occurs. Type II , generally occurs in adults (peak at age 30). How old are you?
If you have symptoms your doctor can check levels of circulating antibody against endocrine organs or their components, it's presence is helpful in differentiating autoimmune from tuberculous hypoadrenalism and determining the cause of hypothyroidism. You much check plasma levels of pituitary tropic hormones, pernicious anemia, diabetes, etc etc. It's time to do a complete check up of your endocrine glands (analyses), ENDO knows what to do. Good luck
I read that treatment of the various glandular deficiencies is the same as for sporadic examples of the individual diseases. Read this: http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/medical/pga1.htm
