HIV and Anxiety symptoms

Hi all,

i just tested for HIV myself today and thank GOD it was NEGATIVE! (3 months after i had sex with some escorts).

However, between April to July, i have had several of these symptoms:-

Muscle aches and joint pains
Rashes
Tiredness, lethargy
Guilt and sleepness nights

All of these are i believe, symptoms of Guilt / Anxiety and the fact that i got them i now know that it was WRONG to have sex with someone you hardly know where there is NO love. Many who have posted on this forum have reported symptoms of similar descriptions (or worse) and i believe that these symptoms are reflective of these illicit sex acts. They may not necessary be due to HIV or any other sexual disease but the fact that SO MANY PEOPLE are experiencing them is a very good indication that they represent anxious / guilty symptoms. Certainly not loving symptoms...

i just wanted to post this commentary here for the future so that whenever anyone commits a similar offense or mistake that we can recognise them as such. No judgement intended, just my opinion.

i wanted to say that i really THANK GOD that i am not infected with any sexual diseases as a result of MY SINS of having sex with 5 escorts in the past and have over these 3 months repented of my MISTAKES and will never put myself and my family and friends at risk ever again!!!

These are anxiety symptoms. Your test proved that you are not infected.

i had unprotected intercourse in last week of april then few times with same girl in may, in second week of june i had a diarrhea and my testicals hurt i went to doctor, i never thought about hiv, untill i saw a show on tv about HIV, then i got paranoid, so i told the doctor about my diarrhea and testicals, he checked my testicals , he said there is nothing wrong with them, then i told him i want to make an hiv test, and cbc, he gave me some medicine for my diarrhea, and my blood work was good, and  the hiv test was negative...and i was happy, untill i found this forum, and i read that a test after 3 months of exposure is needed to be done, then i get paranoid again and very anxious...waht can you tell me about my situation..do i have to retest, my last hiv test (was negative)was in june 19th and i had sex in 3rd or 4th week of april....please help...thanks

a test at 6-8 weeks is a good indication of the final result...and it is highly unlikely it will change.  the guidelines still state that to obtain a conclusive result...you must test at 3 months.
