toxic fumes from cars

by BRAND, Jul 17, 2008 11:34AM
I was reading in a book from the dr. that pregnant women should not be in a car in a traffic jam.  My 5 year old son wants to go to the local fair this weekend to see a demolition derby. So a bunch of old cars crashing each other. I know from the past that you can really smell the fumes even though it is outside.  Do you think this would harm the baby at 13 weeks gestation?

Not real sure. I would probably ask your OB, what his/her thoughts are?
