Herpes post bikini wax

Yesterday, I had a bikini wax (regular, not Brazilian) done at a place that I thought was reputable, but may not be. The lady didnt use gloves or anything and was not very good at her job. Today, the lymph nodes in my groin are swollen. What are the odds of that being something serious? I may have had tiny cuts during the procedure.

I'm not sure swollen lymph nodes would show up 24 hours after a suspected infection or whatever. But you might want to google this to get more information. I doubt the waxing episode is related to swollen lymph nodes.

Also, if you feel you have swollen lymph nodes, go see a doctor. Really, diagnosing yourself isn't helpful.

Many "reputable" waxing techs don't use gloves.

But why are you posting this on a herpes forum? It is highly unlikely that you would get herpes from a wax job.

Doubt it is anything serious but if you do indeed have enlarge lymph nodes and you feel you were in an unsanitary environment, I would go have it looked at ASAP to get some medicine to fix this. It's not herpes if that is what you are worried about. Enlarge lymph nodes suggests an infection of some sort. Go get it looked at..
