I have been in a relationship for 10 years.Neither one of us has been with anyone else.I recently had a genital wart on the base of my penis.She has been tested for hpv several times and was neg.Is it possibe i could have been carrying this virus for this long and never shown any signs untill now,or gave it to her before now.I am really freaking out over this.I used condolox on the spot about two weeks ago and have not noticed any more.Please help.........

First of all, how sure are you that it was a wart. If you are sure, then yes, you may have been exposed by a partner before this one. Also, some genital warts are contracted by non-sexual means. In any case, there's nothing to freak out about. You got rid of whatever it was. Your partner should get regular checkups, which she should anyway. That's all you can do and all you need to do.
