Worried about secong pregnancy

On July 3rd, I tested positive on hpt. Almost two weeks later, I started bleeding, around the same time my period would have normally started. No cramps, no pain, and it was a lighter flow than my period usually is. On the 2nd day, 7/12, I went to the E.R. The drew blood, and hcg is only at 19. On 7/15, I went to my dr. to have it rechecked and still don't know the results. I also stopped bleeding 5 days later, when I usually end my period.
My first pregnancy gave me a beautiful baby boy, who lived for all of 2 hours. He died of gastroschisis (organs on outside of body) and pentology of cantrell (no sternum). It was not genetic or chromosome defect, and the E.R. Dr. said that the two were not related, but that she looks for my numbers to be 0 on 2nd test. This is so frustrating...and call me in denial, but until the numbers do come back at 0, I just want to believe, more than anything, that this baby is going to be healthy. It's so scary to not know anything, and not be able to do anything about it. Please let me know what you think, anyone.

First of, I'm sorry for your loss with your first pregnancy. As far as this one goes, you may have miscarried. If your levels were at 19 almost 9 days later then your positive test, that seems low to me. My levels were 180 the day after I missed my period. I really hope that your numbers are increasing and the bleeding was just something that happened for whatever reason. When I m/c'd I didn't even know I was pregnant (negative tests, no symptoms). If I base it on my last period I was almost 8 weeks. But, I went to the ER with severe cramping and heavy heay bleeding. My levels were 364. Then a day later I passed the fetal tissue and 2 days later my levels were at 150. So I had a feeling it was over because I didn't think the cramping and bleeding was a normal thing in pregnancy. Did they do an u/s at the ER? They did for me and didn't see anything. Well I do hope everything is ok, but just know if it is a m/c that it happened for a reason.

No, she said that she didn't see the sense in doing u/s...thank you. I know, I would rather this happen early than have history repeat itself...I can't imagine going through that again. It's still hard though. I appreciate it...I'll update when I find out more.

I got the results back, they're at a 5...I've got my answer...I know it wasn't the right time, there would have been something wrong, etc...it doesn't really make it easier though. Thank you ladies, for your support and help.
