Question about bottles - can you advise??

by babydreams9, Jul 17, 2008 05:06PM
Playtex Drop-Ins bottle system... any experience? Love them, hate them? Why or why not? I'm a first-timer trying to prepare for our little guy's arrival. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I plan to BF but want to pump also so that DH can feed the baby too. Thanks in advance!

love them, you dont have to struggle to get the bag over the lip of the bottle, and they are easy to clean up, no ripping bags to get them back off, realllly handy especially when making bottles in a hurry

I personally did not like them. My daughter does really well with the Dr. Browns

I Love them, i've never had them leak, and there easy to clean up. my son seems to prefer it over his other bottles

I loved them. They're easier to clean up and you can squeeze all the air out so they get less air than from a conventional bottle.

I too love them - I would've loved my baby to take the Dr. Brown's but he hated the nipple.  Playtex drop-ins are much different and better than they were 15 years ago so I was pleasantly surprised!

I used Avent and although they worked great I would go with glass bottles next time for sure.  I did not find out about the plastic toxins until dd was a year old and too late.  I am sure avent is safe too but next time glass for sure.  Dr. Browns are glass but a lot of work.  Also, now there is a new bottle out.  I forget the name - babies r us has them.  They are glass and sort of look like avent.  I would try those next time.

Good LUck.

My sister used the drop-ins and loved them, so I chose them, too...and I also loved them!
You can find the "drop-in" bags in store brands, so it will save you some money. We usually bought the Target brand.
