Pregnancy 18-34 Community

35 weeks- 80% and dilated to 4!

Okay, I went into labor when I was 26 weeks with my second baby. My Dr. has held off labor now for nine weeks with Brethine, Procardia, hospital bed rest, & Mag. Sulfate. Finally, after giving me an ultrasound and seeing my son was 6lbs 7ozs, she has given me the okay to stop everything and have him. So, Monday I went into the hospital contracting every 2 mintues, and sometimes having 2 within one minute. Only problem is, my cervix has stopped dilating! No one can understand this. Even my Dr. is saying she doesn't understand what's going on with my body. I'm so confused!
He's perfectly healthy- nothing is wrong with him. He's already dropped into my birth canal and my bag of water is bulging through my cervix. I can't understand why I'm not dilating anymore. I'm at 4 and at a stand still.
I had my first child, a girl, four years ago at 35 weeks, and it went fast. I was only in labor with her for 6 hours!
Has anyone had this problem, or am I the only Mother here dealing with this?
My stress level has went sky high over this past week and I need some kind of comfort!
