Still Thirsty

by pludums, Jul 18, 2008 12:39AM
Hi,
My sugar level is down to 106 but I am still thirsty all the time.  Is there a reason why?

Also, what should my A1c be?  All I can find on the internet is 7% but it doesnt mention
7% of what.

Thank you,
pludums

Hello,

An average blood sugar of 106 is very good. I am not sure if you meant an average or morning level etc. Thirst can come from many other reasons, including medications and other diseases, so please discuss with your doctor.

An A1C is measured in percentage, so it is always written %. 7% is the goal at this current time to avoid complications related to diabetes.

Hope this answers your questions, take care.
