Do you have any other signs and symptoms? Burning mouth syndrome causes chronic burning pain in your mouth. The pain may affect your lips, tongue, gums, inside of your cheeks, roof of your mouth, or widespread areas of your whole mouth. The pain from burning mouth syndrome typically has several different patterns. Treatment depends on your particular signs and symptoms, as well as any underlying conditions. Drink plenty of fluids. and avoid products with cinnamon, mint, spicy-hot foods, and acidic foods and liquids, such as tomatoes, orange juice, soft drinks and coffee. This link may be helpful:

No other signs or symptoms. Just the lips. No where inside my mouth is burning or hurting in anyway. Not sure what to do.
