increased appatite and other symptoms

Lately I feel starved to death when I wake up in the morning.  It is very uncomfortable and sometimes hurts.  Last nite I got up at midnight and ate some left over fried potatoes anda veggie tray and 2 large glasses of milk (lately I can't get enough milk)  I am about 14/15 weeks along. I am not sure if I am at the 2nd trimester yet, but isn't that where the baby starts putting on some weight?  Could that explain this late night shark feeding frenzy??  I order a doppler from stork radio but it hasn't come in yet.  Altho hearing the h/b is reassuring it occured tome that it's not really an indicator that everything is alright ppl w/ disabilities probably have a great heart rate.  But I suppose I just need to have faith and stop watching the discovery channel (hermaphrodites..yikes) I also notices my bbs feel hot, heavy and my nipples look bigger??  I am also having some pretty vivid and often graphic dreams..weird.

I can vouch for the discovery channel thing. I have satellite and before I put it on any kind of baby show on discovery or TLC I read the description, it there is anything even slightly less than positive, I dont watch it.  I am sure that your baby is fine, and while you are right that a h/b doesnt mean everything is wonderful and peachy, it does say a lot, and it does tell you that your baby is alive and doing well. You are definatly in your second trimester, that starts at 13 weeks. It is normal for you to start feeling better, and for your appetite to go up, it sounds like you are eating healthy foods, so I think that you are fine.  Congratulations on feeling good, that is wonderful!

I've noticed over the past couple days I feel starved even after I've eaten.  I'm finally free of the 24/7 nausea and the fatigue ... so I've just been snacking on strawberries or fresh veggies or pretzels throughout the day so that I don't have that 'OMG I'm starved!' feeling.  =D
