Before and During, Twitching

by dshine91, Jul 18, 2008 02:07PM
Well I'm 17 years old, involved in numerous of sports, i live in North Carolina, i am of African American descent. To my knowledge i have no heath problems, or no history from family of any sleep or nerve issues. Ever since i was little i could never go to sleep right away. I mean it takes from 45-70 mins to go to sleep. I know this because i think im sleep then i wake up and look at the clock alot. I'm not sure if that's normal. I would like to fall asleep faster. So any answers on that issue would be grateful. Also for about a year now i have noticed that i twitch before i go to sleep and during my sleep at home. I can also recall twitching when i doze off at school, before i noticed the twitching at home, but i thought everbody did that. The twitching doesnt last a long time, they're just hard twitches that can sometimes wake me up.

My friends who i spent the night with even noticed that i twitched. I didn't really think it was a big deal, but i want to be sure it's not. I'm just looking for answers that can help me stop the twitching, or maybe what causes it?

Thanks for your help,

(Shine)
