armour dosage

by Fionna, Jul 18, 2008 10:50PM
My Doctor has been lowering my armour for the last 6 months because the tests are high, except for the last one and now they are too low. He switch me over to levothroid, but I had reactions to it. So he put me back on armour. Now he wants me to take 90mg 7 times a week and 15mg every other day with the 90. Will that work?  I thought you had to get the same dose every day. I was getting too much armour with 105mg everyday and too little at 90mg a day.

This does not make sense to me. First I would like to see your Free T3 tests along with TSH.

I sounds your are on a 1 1/2 grain daily. and he wants to bump our every other day 15mgs more.

Armour needs to build within the system to reach optimal levels. Common pratice for decades should be

Take one dosage for two weeks.
Up meds 1/4 grain for another two weeks
Up again 1/4 grain more for tow weeks
Retest.

Are you symptomatic right now?
