Antidepressants do affect the bloodsystem too I guess. Don't take this for fact only because I say it though. In my head, the effect that AD's have on hormones works on stabilizing the entire human being, which includes those parts that keeps us alive, such as that bloodstream and the heartwork that we don't notice if everything is in check and control.
My depression is related to anxiety. Which came first - the egg or the chicken? To me that's a question of if anxiety is a symptom of my depression or the other way... Oh, while I was on Cipralex I did have the palps more often, but that's because the Remeron is working for anxiety too. I don't know if Cipralex did that.
I sit here and look at your MH mood, that you have changed to "feeling normal for the first time in years". I'm glad you feel better. Hopefully, you'll feel just better and better. I'm glad you found something that worked better for you than the Abilify, and hope that you find a way to overcome the arrhythmias too...
