What is happening to me?

by ao23, Jul 19, 2008 01:34AM
I am a 25 year old male who has been having strange chest discomfort for almost two years now.  I felt this weird sensation 2 years ago and rushed to the emergency room because I thought I was having a heart attack. After being checked out the doctors told me I was okay...they ran echo's, ekg, blood work and beside the study of the echo not being able to be done to its full extent because of my body size everything seemed was fine according to them.  But I am still worried and have these episodes when I am sure that I am about to have a heart attack but I dont.  Recently went to a cardioligist and he ran an ekg and said that I was fine. I have no family history of heart disease but I am feeling so strange and feel that I am losing it.  The cardioligist told me he didnt see the need to run more test and he said that I was ok and that I should just lose some weight .  Should I have a deeper study of my heart?  Or could this just be anxiety along with panic disorder?  It has been two years wouldnt I have had a heart attack by now?  Someone please give me some advice.
