Help on cutting Down

by rello, Jul 19, 2008 01:59AM
Ive been taking neurofen plus fo about two years now , I've gone from about 24 every day and a half to seven and a half a day (one and a half tablets every four hours) I've gotten down to this many tablets before
with no real side affects . I can take most of the side affects on the chin. But i really cant handle the headache. its a stabbing pain behind my right eye. Can anyone help me in this regard. How long does the headache last for 1,2,3 days? Can i take anything else for it instead?
Has anyone managed to go on a lower dosage than seven and a half a day. and still function in work. Im terrified to go to the doctor.Detox in hospital and a 30 day rehab program is recomended here in Ireland. I cant take that amount of time off work as ive only bought my first home. And im broke

nurofen plus had codeine in it, and opiates can fool you into thinking you have pain so you take more of them, then when you do take more, the opiate increases the pain, WHY so you take more, sneaky ******* things they can be.Some people are on high dose morphene for years and when they stop the pain goes. Hmm strange addiction though, i would have gone in my earlier days for panadiene 15, had 15mg codiene take eight of those and its real nice. That all said you might want to see a doctor if you really have a pain in the head. Otherwise be tough and just stop! if the pain is still there after a couple of weeks see a doctor cause the amount of ibuprofen your taking is going to seriously **** your liver and that my friend is not pretty.

To: PLEASE READ THIS
i thought i better follow this post up , first did you start taking them for headaches? second you made a smart move taking nurfofen on NOT anything with paracetemol (acetemofen ) if you took that many with paracetemol in it you would be dead in a week anything over about 4 - 7 grams will give you a slow painfull death so dont move to taking anything with paracetemol in it at that dose man. If your taking nurofen plus for headaches, go see a doctor and tell them, they wont detox you they will check your eye and head out and give you something a little better, and find the problem. If you just started them recreationaly ( which i doubt as they dont really do much, cept for the codeine in em ) just stop em cold.
