Bloodshot eyes and Vertigo Symptoms

by bex0212, Jul 19, 2008 05:54AM
Hi,

My partner is suffering randomly with vertigo symptoms and bloodshot eyes. It started around 3 months ago where his left eye is constantly bloodshot, the vertigo symptoms came then a week later and he suffered for 2 days with a feeling of nausea, the spinnies when he moved his head etc. Since then he has still had the bloodshot eyes, the left one constantly and the right one just every now and then. He doesnt have a problem with his hearing and hasnt suffered with inner ear infections/problems in the past - and neither has he suffered Vertigo or eye problems in the past, We did a bit of diggin and have found his grandmother also had Vertigo. Can you tell me if these conditions are connected and should he contact his own Dr again? He rang in the Dr and explained the problem and the Dr said not to worry about it!

Thanks in advance

Hello Dear,
You should consult a physician and get your husband’s blood pressure levels monitored. The vertigo, spinning sensation and blood shot eyes could be probably related to fluctuations in the blood pressure.Unlees these primary investigations are done the cause cannot be diagnosed.Alohol, caffeine, smoking and tobacco should be avoided.
