Pressure in my head

by Saylin, Jul 19, 2008 08:02AM
Hi,

My name is Scott and I am 22 years old male who works hard and is not in bad shape.

For about 4 years now I have been experiencing fatigue, pressure in the temples, swelling feeling in my head, loss of concentration, problem focusing at points, slight blur, trouble multitasking and even trouble speaking properly sometimes, I forget easy words or slur them or make no sense at all or think way ahead of the speed of my speech and mess up hard, no matter how much sleep I get, blood work and Sinus x rays, anxiety pills it never seems to go away.

Before all this happened I used to be able go outside be fully alert, feel that fresh feeling when breathing in, Multi tasking which I was complimented on for being so well at.

I was on Dexedrine for 2 years, between 16-18 years old and I was on Ritalin at ages 4-16 because of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder) while I was in high school and it worked very well, around grade 12 I was having suicidal thoughts and wanted to perform these actions, and ended up overdosing but nothing lethal or damaging, I never told anyone until a few months after, which I was ok but I couldn't sleep for 4 days, I believe I was on a high dosage 1 big pill and one small one not sure of the dosage size.

I have been to numerous doctors that have no explanation for how I am feeling, I have had Anxiety medications (Effector Slow Release) with absolutely no effect what so ever, I have had Sinus Scans on the thought it was allergies, and now I am thinking because I stopped taking any ADHD medication at the age of 18 and have been on it all my life maybe that is my problem, but when I look up long term effects and there is no topic on my situation.

I decided to look online for help and maybe someone else who feels the same way, its really starting to effect my ability to work and ability to feel confident because of trouble with my speech and everything else, not to mention I have never had a speech problem or anything of the sort,  I was well known Arguer and good at it, I would be able to think quickly and effectively.

thanks for reading, it sounds weird but I hope you can help.
