seeknig immediate help to manage metastatic liver disease (unknown primary) for a 73 years old male

dear panel,
my father is 73 years old n is found to have metastatic liver disease (malignat epithelial cells) seen on the FNAC biopsy. the primary is unknown (normal markers apart from CEA to be 17, no neoplastic lesion on colonoscopy and gastroduedenoscopy). his illness started with acute febrile illnees with diarrheoa. the diarrheoa subsided within 2 days but the fever is persisting n he is getting daily 1-2 spikes of fever that was initially low grade upto 38.5 degree celcius but now is going up to 40 degree (after he was transfused 2 pints of packed RBCs).
please advice what options v have got for supportive as well as improving survival management.
please reply as soon as possible.

The prognosis of metastatic liver disease depends on the stage of the cancer and the general health of the patient. In some cases, when the metastatic liver cancer cannot be controlled, other treatments may be used to help improve the quality of your life by controlling the side effects of the metastatic liver cancer.

For a patient suffering from this disease,psychological and spiritual support is as important as treatment.You should instill a support system for the patient to live as actively as possible for the remaining part of his life.
You should extend a caregiver approach to the patient and keep the diet of the patient healthy and nutritional.
In case of pain,cold compresses,local application of anaesthetics and opioids on the local ulcerations/bed sores and changing the position of patient frequently can help.
