Will I ever be pain free?

by Sandy305, Jul 19, 2008 11:12AM
My pain started August 2007 and I have had Physical Therapy, (2) MRI's, X-rays, Facet Joint Injections, Nerve Conductive test.  Here is what they say: Cervical Disc Disease, Cervical Spinal Stenosis, Cervical Facet Arthropathy, Retrolisthesis (degenerative at C4-5 approx 2mm, stable), EMG evidence of C8/T1 radiculopathy in upper right extremity (level 1), cervical Spondylosis/disogenic change, Cervical facet Arthritis throughout.
I am currently taking, gabapentin 400 mg TID and Celebrex 200mg BID, B vitamins and costocondritis formula and still have pain.  It is better than it was but still constant.
My problem is that I recently lost my job (office manager) and I do not think I can continue in this field because after a day of heavy keyboarding, my arm kills me.
My questions are:  Will the pain ever go away like diabetic neuropathy?  Will my arms get weaker?
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

The Orthopaedic Surgeon says that he does not think they can solve the neck pain.  He left a message and  I can not get in touch with him to ask Why?
