Potty training for stubborn 4 yr old girl

by beckylecky, Jul 19, 2008 02:41PM
My 4 year old daughter knows when she has to go to the bathroom, she will go as far as getting down and squatting, but will not go on the potty. We are trying a rewards system, but that doesn't seem to be helping. What can I do??

You're doing OK. Keep on encouraging her, even having her sit on the potty a couple of times each day corresponding to the time when you know she's likely to go. In addition, occasionally use the children's stories and videos about toilet training - this may help to motivate her.
