Pain in the epididymis could be a result of epididymal infection or inflammation.
The pain may be constant or may be triggered by ejaculation or other strenuous activities.
You will need to consult a urologist to evaluate the testes and the epididymis on the affected side.
If there is evidence of an infection, you will be required to take a course of antibiotics.
If no infection is detected, you can just take a few anti inflammatory agents until the pain settles down.
Another possibility is an inflammation of the prostate.
But this can also be checked by the urologist.
In the interim, you can take tylenol for the pain, sit in a hot bath for 10-15 min once or twice daily, avoid strenuous activity, and increase intake of vitamin C.
Do keep us posted on your doubts and progress.

A urinalysis would reveal infection along the urinary tract. Epididymal infection may or may not be picked up in a urine sample.
However, a blood test would identify the presence of infection in the body. This is identified based on an elevation in the WBCs and on the type of WBCs that are elevated.
Epididymal inflammation need not be reflected in any urinary changes.
