from a heart point of view it could be slight bursts of increase in heart rate and can be triggered by lots of things{caffeine etc--------- and a firm diagonis would be needed before guessing i am sure u would agree.
the thyroid can when both under and over active play games with the heart.
these can be easily tested by bloods by your doc and in the case of the heart theory if u feel u are getting palpitations and u will know if u are talk to your doc about these and they may give u an event monitor to record these surges and see if they are increasing your hr un-appropriately.
some of these feelings can be caused by anxiety as well
but i would say for now speak to your doc and i am sure there is a good well treated explaination for these.
