Heart related problem?

by floydian19, Jul 20, 2008 03:52AM
I keep getting these random adrenaline-like jolts (that's the best way I can describe how it feels, sorta like that feeling that you get when you get real excited about something and you can feel your heart jump) while I'm relaxing I'll get this feeling and right after my chest starts aching and it seems like my pulse goes up but every time I check, it's at a seemingly relaxed pace as if that feeling of excitement didn't raise my heart rate but I can feel tension within my abdomen region so that's what ultimately causes me to get worried which of course isn't the best thing to do because of course being in worried state of mind that's just gonna make things worse but I can't seem to forget about these random jolts of energy I get and if it's a serious problem or not. Could this be heart or thyroid related?

I'm currently on a very lose dose of Tenex (about less than 1/4 of a milligram) that I take once a day right before bed I'm 20 and weight at about 185

could be related to lots of things ?
from a heart point of  view it could be slight bursts of increase in heart rate and can be triggered by lots of things{caffeine etc---------  and a firm diagonis would be needed before guessing i am sure u would agree.
the thyroid can when both under and over active play games with the heart.
these can be easily tested by bloods by your doc and in the case of the heart theory if u feel u are getting palpitations and u will know if u are talk to your doc about these and they may give u an event monitor to record these surges and see if they are increasing your hr un-appropriately.
some of these feelings can be caused by anxiety as well
but i would say for now speak to your doc and i am sure there is a good well treated explaination for these.
most people when they get excited for whatever reason or get an excited feeling will feel it in the tummy it what they call butterflies in the stomach feeling
