Itchyness. Is this normal for early pregnancy?

by AlanAlan, Jul 20, 2008 09:42AM
Is it normal for boobs, back and stomach to itch during pregnancy my partner is nearly 2 months pregnant and we want to know if it is. We read it might be due to her skin stretching.

There's no rash or lumps etc just itching which comes and goes.

I was itchy the entire time I was pg with my daughter.  It can be common due to hormone changes as well.  If it gets worse talk to your dr. about it.  I used the aveno lotion and it helped.  Good luck

Thank you.

Make sure none of the lotions you use are medicated, like with the menthol.  It will only make it worse feeling and is not good for use during pregnancy.  I made that mistake by not reading the label correctly.
