intersting scenario but just because you get the flu a week later doesn't mean you gave her anything. To have all of these symptoms without obvious lesions isn't likely either. As far as her breakout, you aren;'t going to make out with her and he getting lesions the very next day from it. I am not sure what you have going on here but I hardly suspect herpes. People get flu like symptoms for a variety of reasons so don't right away suspect HIV or some other STD. Follow up with your provider and be done with it. I hardly think this is STD related. Let us know what the Dr says. My concern for you is if you did indeed made out passionately with her a day before a outbreak, she MIGHT have given you HSV1. All in all, I think you will be getting good news for yourself. If she did indeed have an outbreak then she is infected with HSV IF it was an Outbreak.

"she MIGHT have given you HSV1"

why would she have given it to me when IF anything i was the one infected?dont get that bit. i meant to say it was her who got the flu the week later and also got the cold sore. but she says she gets them every now and again for the past few months so maybe thats it

and also is it curable HSV1 and how serious is it.

thanks for the reply

If she gets cold sores every few months then she IS infected with HSV and you didn't give it to her. There is no cure for HSV..
