Symtoms...dont have em

by Goldie13, Jul 20, 2008 11:56AM
There are no symptoms, but I am told a girl i had sadly been with has been "reported" to have the STD. It must have been a month and a half ago and I have yet to experience any symptoms...will I? Am I lucky I havent yet? Get tested and then I take pills and whatever "disorder" goes away? I do not know. If someone can advise me Id truly be grateful

The std?  Do you mean chlamydia?  There are several other stds.

I am always leery when it comes to rumors, as they aren't always true and its mean to spread that kind of stuff about someone's personal business, but in this case, why not get tested just to be sure?  You've had unprotected sex, so testing is a good idea anyway.

Maybe you could be a good friend and talk to her about this.  Tell her you heard a rumor, and that while you aren't accusing her, you thought this might be worth a conversation.  Let her know you are going to test to find out if YOU have anything you might have given HER, and ask her to test.

And really - your friends need to grow up and stop spreading such things.  Its very unkind.
