Finger Tip Pain

Hi Im 16 and have been up all night tossing and turning being unable to sleep due to an excruciating pain in the tip of my right index finger. it throbs constantly and painfully and occasionally feels like theres a lancing pain up to my second joint. It feels stiff and swollen, almost as if somone has pushed a pin into the bone through the tip of my finger. it started at about 9pm and i thought it was just an infection of some sort (though i could find no cut) i tee tree oiled it and hoped for the best. Its now 4:30 am and things have been sontantly getting worse and worse. Can anyone help me????
P.S. i bite my nails far too much and the nails on his finger are getting a bit too short... although this is a very different pain and i have not bitten my nails much today
