Low hcg

by karen05, Jul 20, 2008 03:22PM
I found out that I was pregnant. Went to the doctor tuesday(7-15) and the urine pregnancy test was a faint line. So they did blood work. On thursday (7-17) they did an ultrasound and found the sac. My hcg level was 18, so they did another blood work because he thinks i am going to miscarry again. Friday I took a home pregnancy test is says not pregnant. I am slightly passing a brown discharge.

I already have a 3 year old son so I know they is nothing wrong with me having a baby.

it does sound like you may miscarry but don't give up hope, anybody can miscarry and many ppl do for no reason other than the baby stop forming and nothing you could do, i miscarried at 8 wks during my first pregnancy and thenlost twins at 21 wks due to twin to twin transfusion but both of those things are nothing i could have done or anything wrong with me, it was jus the luck of the draw. so you can be completly fine and nothing wrong with you and still miscarry. but i wish you luck.

What was the result of the second test?   That will give you a much clearer answer.  You really cant judge by the first test alone.  You need the second test to compare the numbers.  Good Luck to you!!
