We are at UK.My daughter diagnose Hyperopia in school , sha is 5 years old, we got letter from school that she has some problem when she reads after closing the right eye and there is a squint. We took her to the 2 optitians and results are quite similar, we are surprised becuase niether me nor my wife is having such kind of eye problem. One optitian has suggetsed +4 one eye , +4.75 another eye number lenses and another optitian has referred her to another government hospital what should we do now ? should we wait till we hear from the govt hospital. How long it will take to recover or the lenses will be there for life long .I am really surprised because she is brillient student and not having any problem in reading or writing as well.We are not able to understand how to tackel the situation. Please suggest ?

Your daughter needs glasses and she needs to wear them all the time. The glasses may keep her eye from turning in. the glasses will seem too strong when she gets than and this will last probably for a week.

She needs to be under the ongoing care of an Eye MD.  Pick one and stay with her/him
