Repair of Retina Scaring

by Heeksailor, Jul 20, 2008 06:32PM
I have ocular histoplasmosis, which has been treated with vascular tisue behind eye removed in right eye, and laser and external beam stereotactic radiation in my left eye.  There is no central vision in my right eye due to scaring.  The vision in my left eye has stabilized at 20/40, but the scar tissue is expanding and my field of view is becoming smaller and smaller

Is there any treatment which can remove the scaring in my right eye and repair the retinal tissue?

At present there is no effective treatment that I know of  that is effective for this sort of central macular scar.  There is stem cell research ongoing but results may be years away at best.
