I'm a 23 year old female, and of late I've been experiencing UTIs almost every month. I just went back on birth control and now I have something that i'm not sure is a UTI or a Yeast Infection or if i'm unlucky and am suffering both.
Right now it burns when I urinate, but it also burns all the time. There is no blood in my urine, in fact, there's no discharge at all.
I just used a monistat 1 day hopefully to get rid of a YI but there has been no relief.
help.

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is a common infection that usually occurs when bacteria enter the opening of the urethra and multiply in the urinary tract.If there is no relief from monistat, it would be best to have your urine tested for UTI. Urine analysis and culture would help in the diagnosis and which antibiotic is effective in treating your infection.If not treated, it can progress to upper urinary tract infection. It would be best to see your doctor for proper management. Take care and keep us posted.
