Thanks Christy. I'll certainly take your advice onboard.
He's keeping his wound nice and clean, but he has that Chrystal litter and it adheses to the wound (because it ***** up moisture).
I will now put shredded newspaper in his litter tray.
I went down to the pharmacy and bought a bandage and bandaged up his paw, after a short time of trying to get it off, he's resigned to it (for how long, I don't know)

Hi Mes1976...I would not bother with a bandage as they will not allow the wound to dry out and will keep it moist thus allowing the bacteria to breed ...go naturalNatural tears.

I will confine him to my bedroom (his sanctuary from the children) and certainly let you know how he progresses.
