Pravastatin and blood sugar

Is it possible that Pravastatin raises blood sugar?

by Anita Ramsetty, MD, Jul 21, 2008 02:53PM
Hello,
As a group it does not appear that raising blood sugars is a common side effect of the statins.Ofcourse individual people can be different and thus have different reactions themselves. Given the low likelihood of it being related to the pravastatin, I would suggest looking into other possible causes and discussing your concerns about the pravastatin with your doctor.
Take care.
